NOTIFICATION OF INTENT TO REORGANIZE, PROMOTE, OR REASSIGN (NIRPR)
The Notification of Intent to Reorganize, Promote or Reassign (NIRPR) form is used when departments are interested in changing responsibilities for existing employees, usually as a result of a reorganization, promotion, or reassignment. This process is NOT used for reclassifying or reassigning classified employees within those bargaining units covered by labor agreements (SEIU, GCIU, GTFF).
Please complete a NIRPR for each employee involved in a reorganization, promotion, and/or reassignment. In addition, please attach a justification memo and a copy of current and proposed position descriptions and organizational charts for all affected positions.
Approval of the NIRPR only authorizes the announcement of the opening and the commencement of a search. It does not guarantee that a Request to Offer an appointment will be approved at a later date (e.g. if there are no longer sufficient funds to support the position).

The Office of Affirmative Action will fill this in.
