Russ Tomlin, Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, has reviewed and approved the following language to be used in pool postings for those departments that hire without a degree:

"Successful candidates will have professional experience, demonstrated ability or potential for quality teaching and a commitment to working effectively with students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds. Masters degree is required; PhD is preferred. In exceptional circumstances, significant professional experience in a relevant field may substitute for a degree."
